Courtney Clark (aka: Gypsy) was born and raised in Nashville, TN. She has studied and taught all sorts of dance, yoga, and theater, and has trained at such prestigious institutions as the Nashville Ballet, Tremaine Dance Center, California Institute of the Arts, and many more. Courtney received a dance scholarship to CalArts and was selected from an audition there to dance for the Paul Taylor 2 company under the direction of Sharon Kinney. While living near Nashville she performed professionally for Opryland USA, Paramount's Kings Island and the First Light Dance Theater. In Los Angeles, she performed and starred in films, TV, commercials and industrials, and choreographed for Bon Jovi's last world tour. Courtney has performed for the openings of the Sundance Film Festival, choreographed and performed with the latin jazz musician Arturo Sandoval and created a burlesque dance company in Los Angeles, "The Green Eyed Ladies", which won the 2003 burlesque world championship. Courtney was introduced to the fitness world through her burlesque and became an instructor for the popular, Cardio Strip Tease, created by guru, Jeff Costa. She began to learn pole dance and aerial athletics and created PoleArize, her fitness approach to pole dance. Courtney taught it at CRUNCH Gym in Hollywood, where the local stars go to workout. She created CRUNCH's first ever CardioGoGo workout and her new DVD has just been released in the US nationwide. Courtney is a member of the Chicago National Association of Dance Masters and the Pilates Method Alliance, and has been teaching kids and adults of all ages for a combined 17 years. IN 2007 Courtney moved to Amsterdam to further pursue dance and choreography. She can be found teaching at a variety of locations and performing for SupperClub and Happy Hour Chandelier.
